Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team at Spartan Industrial Marine in Sydney, NS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of our warehouse, ensuring the efficient and effective execution of customer sales orders, branch transfers, and departmental picking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize daily workflow based on required by dates on orders
  • Ensure cycle count activities are completed
  • Communicate directly with the Branch Manager on any department requirements for training, supplies, or maintenance
  • Oversee all shipping and receiving activities
  • Prepare, package, and schedule outgoing shipments with transport companies
  • Unload and sort incoming shipments and inter-branch transfers
  • Ensure all required paperwork for all orders is complete
  • Provide superior customer service by tracking shipments as required
  • Oversee production of trap building and ensure efficient productivity
  • Provide support to Front Counter Retail Sales when needed and provide excellent customer service to entering customers
  • Provide support to Production Team when necessary
  • Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) checks on outgoing orders
  • Motivate employees and maintain a positive environment

Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent an asset
  • Previous warehouse experience is required
  • Previous customer service experience an asset
  • Computer skills and ability to use systems for shipping and receiving
  • Previous training in forklift operation considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
