Work Environment: Rotating position across various clinic locations

Position Overview:

As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients and healthcare partners. Your expertise will ensure the provision of accurate and compassionate care.

You will collaborate with a dedicated team committed to excellence in radiological practices. The role requires a self-motivated individual capable of performing imaging procedures with minimal supervision, while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a range of standardized and complex imaging procedures, focusing on patient welfare and comfort.
  • Identify and report any unusual or abnormal findings to the Radiologist.
  • Oversee the operation and basic maintenance of digital imaging equipment, reporting any issues to your supervisor.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of diagnostic imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Uphold safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the imaging area.
  • Manage computer systems and perform all necessary office duties related to diagnostic imaging.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients regarding various imaging examinations.
  • Assist in training new staff members and students as needed.
  • Ensure quality control in all imaging procedures performed.
  • Support Radiologists and colleagues as required.
  • Communicate any equipment or supply issues to your supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information and results.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to patient care, quality assurance, and adherence to imaging standards.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Capacity to remain calm and focused in high-pressure environments.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues.
  • Clinical proficiency in medical radiography.
  • In-depth knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and protocols.
  • Familiarity with technical specifications for breast imaging.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to the role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated and dependable.
  • Punctual and cooperative in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • MRT(R) Designation in good standing with CAMRT/ACMDTT.
  • Previous experience in mammography is an asset.
  • CPR Standard First Aid certification is beneficial.
