Job Title: Health and Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Chezranti Community Centre Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, clients, and visitors. This includes conducting risk assessments, developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, and providing training and guidance to staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement health and safety strategies.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry partners.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a health and safety role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload. They will be required to work under pressure and have excellent attention to detail.

Experience:

3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a health and safety role.
