About the Role

Bero AI Inc. is a leading innovator in the field of artificial intelligence, dedicated to unlocking the unique language of pets through an integrated platform that combines devices, apps, and AI models.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Data Management Specialist to join our team at the Interspecies Communication AI Lab in Montreal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management and operation of our data lab dedicated to collecting and processing dog-related data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection and Processing

You will ensure accurate data collection in the correct format, preparing various data types — such as video, audio, IMU, and text—according to AI requirements.

  • Data Lab Operations and Maintenance

You will oversee the setup and ongoing maintenance of lab equipment, ensuring optimal operation for seamless data collection with a strong emphasis on secure data storage.

  • Enhancing Data Collection Processes

You will collaborate closely with AI and Hardware Engineers to refine and streamline data collection workflows, ensuring data integrity and security.

  • Animal Welfare and Ethics

You will conduct all interactions with dogs ethically, demonstrating a genuine love for the human-dog bond and upholding our commitment to this special relationship.

Requirements
  • Graduate from an Accredited University in One of the Following Fields

Electrical Engineering / Engineering Physics / Computer Science / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering

  • Advanced Python Skills
  • Familiarity with the Operation and Maintenance of Devices and Equipment for Data Collection, such as Cameras and Microphones
  • Experience in Handling and Caring for Dogs
  • Understanding of Fourier Transform
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Data Management or Related Field
  • Extensive Experience in Preprocessing of Video and Audio Data
  • Experience with Video Annotation Tools
