Key Responsibilities- Provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, assessing their needs and prioritizing care requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Stabilize and resuscitate multi-trauma victims, prepare for and respond to disaster situations, and enhance quality of life from the patient's perspective.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, consult with colleagues, and participate in hospital committees and research projects.
- Maintain and advance clinical competence, demonstrating expertise and leadership in nursing practice.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a recognized advanced program in emergency care nursing or two (2) years' recent, related experience.
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a patient/family-centered model of care.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement plans of care in relation to patient/family priorities, assess patient responses to care, and respond appropriately.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, communicate effectively with patients and their families, and provide leadership and work direction.
