Collections Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collections Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Revenue Recovery team, you will be responsible for leading the collection process for utility accounts across the territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the collection of utility accounts from residential and commercial clients, including government and municipal entities.
- Review and analyze aged accounts receivable, identify delinquent customers, and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Initiate collection correspondence and negotiate repayment plans with clients.
- Conduct investigations into problematic accounts and analyze billing data to ensure accuracy.
- Review inactive accounts and apply customer deposits or credits to outstanding balances.
- Inform the Manager, Revenue Recovery of disputed or delinquent accounts and recommend remedial action.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Five years of experience in collections in a customer service environment.
- Two years of experience in supervising and developing staff.
Assets:
- Professional designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or related certification.
- Knowledge of Nunavut's land, language, and culture.
- Ability to communicate in Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun, and/or French.

- Competitive salary range of $98,014.44 to $114,488.13 per year.
- Northern living allowance of $18,517.00 per annum.
