About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at TechWest Inc. as a Precision Fabrication Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for computing dimensions and tolerances of machine parts, measuring and laying out work pieces, and reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dimensional Analysis: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Workpiece Preparation: Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring proper fit and finish.
  • Engineering Documentation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repair machine tools and parts, and maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
  • Production Setup: Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Quality Control: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, and verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality parts.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) with regular frequency.
