We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planner to join our team at BMO. As a Financial Planner, you will be responsible for providing financial and investment planning and advice to our customers, helping them achieve their financial goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct needs-based assessments to identify opportunities for growth and develop solutions to meet customer needs.
- Implement business development strategies to acquire new business and grow existing relationships.
- Engage with customers to build trust and provide tailored financial solutions.
- Develop and implement relationship management plans to meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to provide expert advice and guidance to customers.
- Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CFP designation preferred or one of the following: Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, Wealth Management Essentials (WME) + Financial Planning Supplement, Professional Financial Planning Course (PFPC), Financial Planning I & II (FP I & II).
- Canadian Securities Course - Licensed to sell mutual funds excluding QC or IQPF in Quebec.
- Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry.
- Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
- Verbal and written communication skills - In-depth.
- Collaboration and team skills - In-depth.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.
- Influence skills - In-depth.
