Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Louisiana-Pacific Corporation. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for performing predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive oral and/or written instructions from supervisors and perform electrical troubleshooting, repair, and restoration of equipment to design specifications.
- Conduct electrical tests using megger, OHM meter, and other test equipment to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Work from prints and/or computer logic to ensure accurate and efficient maintenance procedures.
- Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance procedures and SOPs as needed to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Adhere to safety rules and regulations, maintaining a clean and orderly work area to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Vocational degree and basic PLC training desired, with 2 years of work experience in electrical troubleshooting, motor and controls, or industrial electrical controls.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring and circuit diagrams, as well as understand safety rules and regulations.
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
Work Environment
This role will be based in an OSB manufacturing facility, subject to weather extremes. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
