Position: Maintenance Pipe Specialist at Maple Leaf Foods

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Pipe Specialist to oversee the upkeep and servicing of systems utilized in the production of various food products. This role is crucial in maintaining safe operational standards and ensuring a secure environment for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to processing pipework
  • Engage in the preventive maintenance program for facility equipment
  • Conduct pipe repairs and maintenance of systems
  • Ensure unobstructed flow throughout the facility
  • Carry out upgrades and maintenance on steam piping
  • Assist in the planning and organization of work activities
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair piping and production systems
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Collaborate with Reliability Team members to complete maintenance routines
  • Evaluate and enhance existing preventive maintenance and repair work orders
Qualifications:
  • Certified Steam Fitter/Pipe Fitter (307A)
  • Certified Plumber (306A/NOC 7251)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a dynamic manufacturing setting
  • At least 2 years experience in the food production sector
  • Familiarity with CMMS; knowledge of SAP is advantageous
  • Strong commitment to safety and environmental standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of urgency
