Your Role as a Quality Coordinator
In this position, you will be integral to the Western Canada team , contributing to a diverse engineering group poised for growth and future opportunities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Cultivating a quality-centric culture across all levels, emphasizing doing it right the first time and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with the Quality Manager to enhance our quality systems and ensure adherence to operational best practices.
- Developing and executing necessary updates to quality systems, standard operating procedures, and policies to comply with professional regulations and customer requirements.
- Maintaining documentation to support quarterly management review meetings.
- Participating in internal audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Overseeing the Professional Practice Management Plan with the review committee.
- Managing non-conformance reporting processes, ensuring proper records and resolutions are maintained.
- Continuously developing and reviewing procedures to ensure effective solutions are implemented.
- Supporting the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification process.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control, preferably within the engineering consulting sector.
- Background in consulting engineering.
- Strong understanding of construction quality management standards and processes.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
- Strong organizational skills focused on meeting deadlines and achieving results.
- Familiarity with ISO and CSA standards.
- Experience in risk management, change management, and continuous improvement is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining quality management systems and project management knowledge.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for fostering collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues decisively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
- ISO 9001:2015 Auditor Training is an asset.
