Job Title: Cashier

Canadian Tire Lake Shore & Leslie – Store 654 is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Cashier to provide exceptional customer service, process transactions efficiently, and maintain a clean and organized cash area. As a Cashier, you will be the face of our store, interacting with customers, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Operate the cash register and maintain the cash area
  • Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company policies
  • Alert management to security problems and report any observed or potential hazards
Requirements:
  • Ability to provide professional customer service and handle conflicts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and take on additional responsibilities
  • Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours
  • Ability to lift 25lbs unassisted and perform repetitive lifting
  • Ability to go up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise
