We are in search of a skilled professional in trade services to enhance our Wholesale Credit Operations division. The Assistant Manager for Trade Operations plays a crucial role in managing trade transactions, ensuring the prompt execution of data entry and document management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process trade transactions utilizing the TE2000 system.
- Conduct thorough checks and obtain necessary authorizations for documents prior to submission.
- Perform balancing, reconciliation, and self-audits, while maintaining accurate reports and follow-ups.
Specific Duties Include:
- Verification and input of trade transactions in TE2000.
- Examination and validation of trade documentation.
- Ensure precision in all transactions.
- Align financing of trade transactions with the client's business model.
- Monitor and track payments for outstanding invoices.
- Adhere to compliance standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain familiarity with regulatory guidelines and ICC publications pertinent to trade.
- Manage Islamic trade transactions for relevant banking operations.
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the department head or team leader.
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive work environment and motivate team members by promoting the bank's core values.
- Provide training to staff to enhance their expertise.
- Identify and implement initiatives aimed at improving productivity.
- Assess risks associated with trade operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Resolve trade-related issues effectively.
Qualifications:
- A Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial sector, particularly in trade operations.
- Knowledge of consumer banking products and regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at various levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
