We are seeking an experienced trade service professional to join our Wholesale Credit Operations team at Hong Leong Bank Berhad. As a Trade Services Manager, you will be responsible for the processing of trade transactions to ensure timely completion of data input and filing of documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process trade transactions via TE2000 (Trade computerized system) with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify and authorize trade documents to ensure compliance with guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform balancing, reconciliation, self-audit, and housekeeping of reports to ensure data integrity.
  • Track payments of outstanding bills and ensure financing of trade transactions aligns with customer's nature of business.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ICC publications related to Trade.
  • Process Islamic trade transactions for Hong Leong Islamic Bank Bhd.
  • Carry out duties assigned by Head – TSC or team leader as required.

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Monitor team morale and motivate staff to achieve high standards.
  • Train staff to attain required expertise and identify improvement initiatives to increase productivity.
  • Identify and manage risks in trade operations to minimize potential threats.
  • Troubleshoot trade-related issues involving processes.

Requirements:

  • Candidate with at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking/Business Administration or equivalent.
  • 5 years and above of working experience in the financial industry with experience in trade operations.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people at different levels.
  • PC literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office Appliances.
