Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at 8940002 Canada Inc. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage the workload of sales associates, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Hire and Train or Arrange for Training of Staff: Recruit and train new staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Authorize Payments and Manage Inventory: Oversee the payment process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of staff and vendors. Manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is maintained at optimal levels.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules, ensuring that staff are adequately covered during peak periods.
  • Sell Merchandise and Resolve Issues: Sell merchandise to customers, resolving any issues that may arise in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare Reports and Analyze Data: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support Diversity and Inclusion: Foster a welcoming work environment, providing awareness training to employees to create a inclusive and respectful workplace.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 Years of Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of retail experience is required, with a proven track record of success in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail is required, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
