Position Overview

Aramark Canada is seeking a Facilities Support Operations Manager with a robust background in Food Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry Services to oversee operations within a Healthcare Facility.



Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Facilities Support Operations Manager will take charge of the food and facilities contract at the designated site, ensuring financial accountability and adherence to established standards set by Aramark, regulatory bodies, and clients. The Manager will plan, manage, and direct all activities related to food and facilities services, focusing on financial performance and compliance to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning, managing, and directing all activities related to food and facilities services.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with various departments.
  • Ensuring adherence to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety protocols.
  • Engaging with Client Management to maintain strong client and customer relations.
  • Providing leadership and performance management for all Food Service Supervisors and frontline staff.
  • Overseeing staffing and training within the food service department, focusing on food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.
  • Developing operational forecasts and explaining any variances.
  • Ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
  • Red Seal chef certification or experience in overseeing food operations is advantageous.
  • Experience in Basic Housekeeping or comprehensive Environmental Services is a plus.
  • Proficiency in menu management, budget balancing, and operational cost management.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in managing operations with financial and operational responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, customers, and support staff.
  • Experience with P&L accountability and/or contract-managed services is preferred.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities, with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Completion of a mandatory background check is required for all qualified candidates.


Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Trade School qualifications.
