Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong dedication to fulfilling the needs of gym members and visitors.
- Exhibit proper usage of all strength and cardio equipment.
- Conduct initial consultations and provide guidance on exercise plans tailored to fitness assessments and individual goals.
- Facilitate an average of 25 personal training sessions weekly after the initial employment period.
- Assist in the creation and execution of club initiatives and events.
- Engage in all staff meetings and other necessary activities.
- Serve as a role model by advocating for a healthy lifestyle.
- Maintain a positive demeanor consistently while interacting with members.
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional development.
- Adhere to professional attire as per the established dress code.
- Provide customer service by supporting members in tracking their fitness routines, motivating them to achieve their health objectives, and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Actively promote personal training services to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Encourage members to utilize additional club offerings and programs.
- Suggest enhancements to programs and services based on current industry trends.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to manage time efficiently.
- Proficiency in marketing personal training services and acquiring clients.
- Possess a balanced yet assertive approach to individual client interactions.
Educational Background and Certifications:
- A minimum of two years of education in exercise science or a related discipline, along with at least two years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's degree in exercise science, or a combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: Nationally recognized personal training certification from NSCA or CAN-FIT-PRO; other certifications may be considered.
- Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and AED are required, along with a Criminal Background Check (to be completed within 60 days of employment).
Work Environment:
The Fitness Coach must be capable of demonstrating the correct use of all equipment, either physically or verbally. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to accommodate clients' schedules.
