About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Star House Family Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including workstations, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Food Preparation
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as soups, salads, and sandwiches.
    • Package take-out food and ensure it is ready for customer pickup.
  • Inventory Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring all customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Teamwork
    • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset.
  • Work Setting
