Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Star House Family Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are sanitized and stored properly, and assisting with food preparation and presentation.
Responsibilities:- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars with ingredients and supplies
- Package take-out food and prepare simple food items for service
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, and polish floors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods
- Reliability and teamwork skills
This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The language of work is English. We offer relocation costs covered by the employer and a criminal record check is required.
