Your Responsibilities

As a member of the global IBM Watson X development teams, you will collaborate with seasoned professionals to deliver both public and private cloud solutions. Your work will assist clients in managing, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models and other assets throughout their development, validation, and production lifecycles.

Our development team operates from a Toronto Lab and is integrated into a broader global network, working closely with teams across the United States, Germany, Poland, and India. This unique structure provides the opportunity to engage in globally distributed software development while remaining part of local teams.

You will gain exposure to all facets of contemporary software development, from design to implementation, testing, and deployment, utilizing agile methodologies. Collaboration will be key as you build solutions with teams around the world.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years in a software engineering capacity.
  • Proficiency with GitHub and Travis.
  • Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux or Unix-based operating systems.
  • Familiarity with both public and private cloud application development.
  • Experience in global Agile environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with collaboration, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to independently evaluate and adopt the latest technology stacks.
  • A genuine passion for software development.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Training in design thinking methodologies.
  • Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
