We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at Société Générale Assurances. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business growth and stability.
Key Responsibilities- Daily Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyze the daily profit and loss (P&L) of our Market Activities, providing insights on revenue and expense trends.
- RWA Monitoring and Analysis: Track and analyze Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) variances against budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs), to support senior management decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to gather inputs and assumptions for financial projections.
- Data Integrity and Analysis: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data in relevant systems, conducting thorough data analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Undertake ad hoc financial analysis projects to provide insights into specific business decisions, collaborating with the FP&A team to develop financial models for scenario planning.
- Process Improvement: Participate in the enhancement of FP&A processes and tools to drive efficiency and accuracy, suggesting and implementing improvements to reporting formats and data collection methods.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Qualifications: Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, excellent communication skills, and a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel and other relevant tools, proficient Microsoft Office skills, and knowledge of BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau) and financial systems (Essbase and Cognos) is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics preferred.
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
