Island Health is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Comox. This is an exciting opportunity to take over an established part-time family practice and build on the existing patient panel to turn it into a full-time practice if desired.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care services to patients in a busy full-service primary care practice
- Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, nurses, and medical office assistants to provide high-quality patient care
- Participate in teaching and education activities as part of our affiliation with UBC
- Be flexible with hours and days of work, with the option to negotiate more clinic time if desired
- Longitudinal family physician payment model, which has made a real difference to pay and quality of life
- May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including recruitment incentives, fee premiums, and annual flat fees
- Relocation assistance may be available up to a maximum of $15,000
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
