Job Overview:

This position is responsible for working with credit union members to create personalized financial plans and provide investment counseling, estate planning, and disability insurance services. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting personal interviews with members to identify their financial needs and goals.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive financial plans that meet the unique needs of each member.
  • Providing investment advice and guidance to members on a range of products and services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files and reporting on activities to the Wealth Manager and Sales Development Manager.
  • Conducting seminars and workshops on wealth management and attending business development opportunities as required.
  • Administering assigned budgets and ensuring that expenses are effectively managed.
  • Promoting Aviso Wealth's investment products and services in the community.
  • Providing support to credit union staff on wealth management products and services.
  • Developing business plans and identifying opportunities to meet the needs of members.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • LLQP – Life & Accident and Sickness
  • Securities (CSC) Licensing
  • Financial Planning Designation (CFP, PFP, CLU, CIM)
  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience as a financial planner
  • General investment and insurance industry knowledge and awareness of the Canadian credit union system
  • Ability to develop cooperative relationships and strong sales and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong engagement in business development activities and volunteerism
  • Teamwork spirit
