Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Superior North Catholic District School Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, intervention, and support to children and youth in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to identify strengths and needs of children and youth
  • Develop and implement interventions to address mental health and behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and outside agencies to provide comprehensive support
  • Participate in staff training, student placements, and consultation with the board's multidisciplinary team
Requirements
  • Child and Youth Worker degree/diploma from a recognized university or college
  • Member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (an asset)
  • Experience in children's mental health or related field of practice
  • Knowledge of theories and practices applicable to children's mental health
  • Ability to work effectively with students with special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Conditions of Employment
  • Successful completion of all safety training courses
  • Successful vulnerable police record check
