Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Mills Memorial Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders, including acute and chronic cardio-respiratory illnesses. You will work closely with our medical staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat patients with respiratory disorders, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and other respiratory interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote self-management and independence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and eligible for registration with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and CSRT.
  • Current valid BC Driver's License as required in the specific practice area.
