Role OverviewThe Financial Services Consultant will deliver outstanding brand experiences to our members and potential members by providing valuable services, including loans, mortgages, and investment products. You will also identify opportunities to promote additional member services that contribute to their financial success. Accurate completion of all administrative tasks is essential, ensuring adherence to required timelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct meetings with members to gather necessary information for informed loan and mortgage decisions within established limits, and make recommendations for approvals or declines to management. Identify opportunities to promote additional services that support member success. Provide personalized financial counseling as needed.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time, including preparing documentation for loans and mortgages, conducting credit checks, and managing estate-related administration.
- Collaborate with branch staff to ensure exceptional service delivery and foster a positive workplace culture. Support branch campaigns and promotions as needed.
- Monitor and manage delinquent accounts, implementing systematic collection procedures to identify and address potential issues early.
- Advise members on investment options, including GICs, TFSAs, RRSPs, and RESPs, and refer them to appropriate staff when necessary.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a credit union or banking environment with lending authority.
