As a key member of the Corporate Communications team, you will report directly to the Manager of External Communications. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with various business units to effectively manage and implement communication strategies that align with OTIP's operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough proofreading and editing of communications intended for broad distribution, ensuring they meet brand standards and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the creation, posting, and upkeep of content on the corporate website, enhancing the online presence.
- Develop a range of communication materials, including articles, letters, reports, presentations, and newsletters.
- Work alongside the team to craft and distribute mass email communications.
- Oversee the management of various communications email accounts, ensuring timely responses and appropriate escalation of issues.
- Handle translation requests and manage correspondence with freelance translators to maintain effective communication.
- Support the promotion and management of OTIP's corporate giving initiatives through effective communication and administrative tasks.
- Maintain and enhance Corporate Communications processes, templates, and tools.
- Ensure the consistency and integrity of the OTIP brand across all communication channels, monitoring logo usage on products and publications.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within your area of expertise.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a communications-focused role.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with a strong command of the Canadian Press style guide.
- Familiarity with content management systems, digital marketing tools, and social media platforms.
- Excellent time management, project management, and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- A proven ability to interact positively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the insurance sector and/or the Ontario education system is an advantage.
- Fluency in French is considered a valuable asset.
