Quality Assurance Systems Leader

Compliance Requirements:
This role must adhere to Export Control compliance standards, thus requiring a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. This includes US Citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.
As a progressive leader, you will oversee a diverse quality team operating under AS9100/9120 standards. You will provide mentorship and coaching to team members regarding the Quality Management System (QMS). Your leadership will emphasize safety, quality, and integrity, while promoting a culture rooted in humility, inclusion, and transparency. You will be responsible for acquiring and managing resources for the team and spearheading process enhancements.Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Establishing and upholding quality policies, procedures, and work instructions to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of the QMS through regular audits, inspections, and performance metrics.
- Maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management System in alignment with applicable standards.
- Providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams in executing quality processes and addressing quality-related challenges.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement within the QMS and leading initiatives to boost quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Conducting training sessions to educate employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
- Collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality requirements and drive continuous improvement.
- Leading investigations into non-conformities, customer complaints, and quality incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
- Staying informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality management systems.
Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
- Proficient in computer skills and thorough knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong communication skills regarding performance, coaching, and disciplinary matters.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Aerospace Quality Assurance and Inspection.
- Knowledge of Aviation Regulatory Compliance.
