About the Role

BMO is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mortgage Specialist to join our team. As a Mortgage Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping customers achieve their dream of homeownership by providing expert guidance and support throughout the mortgage application process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with a network of referral sources, including realtors, lawyers, and other industry professionals, to generate new business opportunities and increase BMO's market share.
  • Identify Sales Opportunities: Proactively search for and identify sales opportunities to achieve individual sales and profitability goals.
  • Develop and Execute Marketing Programs: Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs to drive business results and increase brand awareness.
  • Provide Expert Guidance: Provide expert guidance and support to customers throughout the mortgage application process, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience.
  • Stay Up-to-Date on Industry Developments: Stay current on industry developments, regulatory requirements, and market trends to ensure compliance and stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements
  • Experience: Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage sales, customer service, or a related field.
  • Education: Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process, applicable regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
