We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Claims Representative to join our team at Intact. As a key member of our Claims department, you will be responsible for investigating and settling routine and less complex property damage claims.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate property claims in a timely manner through communication with customers, vendors, experts, adjusters, and other related parties.
- Negotiate with customers, third parties, and insurers to settle claims within your established authority scope.
- Assess and analyze policy wordings and damage to determine appropriate coverage.
- Provide superior quality customer service to external and internal customers through proactive contact during the claims process.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required.
- 1-2 years of claims experience is preferred.
- Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, capable of working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving and priority management skills.
- Strong aptitude for technology with excellent computer skills.
- On-going commitment to self-development.
- A college diploma or university degree is preferred.
- Willing to pursue your Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
