As a Diesel Mechanic Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet by performing various tasks related to fueling, maintenance, and customer service.

**Responsibilities**

  • **Fueling Operations**: Activate fuel pumps and fill fuel tanks of vehicles with gasoline or diesel fuel to specified levels, ensuring accurate measurements and efficient fueling processes.
  • **Vehicle Inspections**: Check air pressure in vehicle tires, levels of fuel, motor oil, transmission, radiator, and other fluids, and add air, oil, water, or other fluids as required to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
  • **Vehicle Cleaning**: Clean windshields and wash vehicles to maintain a clean and presentable appearance.
  • **Minor Repairs**: Perform minor repairs such as installing mounted tires and changing engine oil and filters to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • **Reporting and Inventory Management**: Prepare daily reports of fuel, oil, and accessory sales, and order stock, price, and shelve incoming goods to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • **Customer Service**: Provide customers with information about local roads and highways, and offer assistance with vehicle-related inquiries.
  • **Facility Maintenance**: Clean parking areas, offices, restrooms, and equipment, and remove trash to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

**Requirements**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
