About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team, providing individual and group therapy, psychoeducational sessions, and ongoing assessment of progress to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide trauma-informed therapy to clients with various substance use disorders and concurrent issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, coordinating with inter-professional teams as needed.
  • Deliver psychoeducational sessions to clients and external groups, promoting education and awareness about mental health and addiction.
  • Collaborate with referral agencies, providing support and guidance to clients and their families.
  • Document client progress, preparing reports and correspondence as required.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, contributing to the development and implementation of client care plans.
Requirements
  • Minimum three-five years of clinical experience in mental health and addiction.
  • Professional experience working with individuals experiencing concurrent disorders, such as mood and anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, acute stress disorders, and PTSD.
  • Master's degree in counselling-psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
  • Current registration with a regulated professional College (i.e., college of Social Workers, Canadian Certified Counsellor, etc.).
  • CBT and DBT certification considered an asset.
