Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Pharmacist or Registered Pharmacy Technician in the preparation of prescriptions;
  • Support patients during the prescription pickup process;
  • Utilize Kroll Pharmacy software for entering, scanning, and processing prescriptions;
  • Ensure accuracy in pharmacy records and digital files;
  • Confirm that customers receive the correct medications;
  • Facilitate workflow through effective prioritization and collaboration;
  • Handle phone inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Screen calls for the Pharmacist(s);
  • Manage inventory of medications, including ordering and receiving;
  • Prepare and process billing, claims, and related documentation;
  • Review invoices and other necessary paperwork;
  • Pack and ship prescription orders in accordance with established protocols;
  • Maintain comprehensive pharmacy records;
  • Report adverse events in compliance with regulatory standards;
  • Assist with general housekeeping and administrative tasks;
  • Be available for additional duties as assigned;
  • May be required to be on standby or on call.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma preferred;
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting is advantageous;
  • Familiarity with Kroll software is a plus;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel);
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively;
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities;
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution sector;
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills;
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently;
  • Experience in cold-chain distribution is beneficial;
  • Familiarity with biological and/or cytotoxic medications and sterile preparation is a plus;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address issues efficiently;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of job responsibilities.
