Position Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safety, quality, and efficiency of the assembly operations. This role includes providing hands-on assistance to the production team as necessary.

  • Afternoon Shift: 10-hour work schedule, Monday to Thursday (2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., including lunch break).

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of production workers (over 20 employees).
  • Interpret and comprehend technical drawings and measurements.
  • Organize and prioritize job schedules based on deadlines.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure parts availability for production.
  • Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety compliance.
  • Monitor employee performance within the assembly areas.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations.
  • Develop training programs for team members.
  • Provide practical training to staff.
  • Facilitate departmental meetings to discuss safety and performance.
  • Manage employee time-off requests through the Workday platform.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • A minimum of three years managing personnel, schedules, workflow, safety, and equipment.
  • Technical or Mechanical diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, results-oriented environment while effectively prioritizing tasks.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical schematics.
  • Experience with production software applications.
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision required.
  • Strong planning, estimating, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and quality.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and capabilities.
  • Effective organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to engage with a diverse workforce and promote teamwork.
  • Commitment to meeting the expectations of internal stakeholders.
  • Capability to delegate tasks and manage personnel effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools as needed.
  • Timely reporting of information to management.
