Position Summary
As a Plant Electrician with the Corporation, you will be stationed at our Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP), where we have made substantial progress in minimizing the City's carbon footprint, reducing air emissions, and lowering overall operational costs. Recently, this facility has been upgraded with a state-of-the-art Building Automation System (BAS) that regulates heating and ventilation, along with new high-efficiency turbo blowers. We take pride in our accomplishments at the WPCP, as our facilities foster sustainability and provide an excellent working environment.
Our Plant Electricians are responsible for the maintenance and installation of electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control systems utilized in the operation of wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and encompasses the following responsibilities:
Plans, installs, repairs, maintains, connects, and tests electrical fixtures, apparatus, control systems, and wiring for alarm, communication, lighting, heating, and power systems in various structures. Procures equipment, materials, and parts as needed and suggests spare parts for inventory management. Secures necessary electrical permits for any modifications, repairs, or new installations. Updates and maintains plant schematics, manuals, operating procedures, and documentation. Installs, programs, and maintains Programmable Logic Controllers and Graphics Packages. Engages in the Plant's facility maintenance system and recommends improvements or modifications as necessary.Ideal Candidate Profile
