Network Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Analyst to join our team at BQ International Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Administration, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of the enterprise network environment
- Prepare plans for development and installation of network devices according to present and future requirements and standards
- Provides expert technical support, administration, and engineering on Cisco network devices
- Monitoring, performance tunes, troubleshooting, and resolution of system problems to ensure system availability
- Manage and maintain network disaster recovery including planning, implementation, maintenance, and testing
- Interacts with our user base (corporate and field employees) on an as-needed basis regarding technology issues and escalations
- Patching network equipment using company standard processes
- Maintains systems integrity through change control and problem management procedures and communication with internal customers
- Accomplishes department objectives by working with other team members; organizing and monitoring work process
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures when carrying out position responsibilities
- Attends and participates in team meetings
- Work with various teams to establish scalable network solutions
- Act as a representative of Digital Technology & Security
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years recent and practical network administration/analyst and design/architecture experience. Proven proficiency with Layer 3 Spine and Leaf data center networks using VXLAN with BGP EVPN, BGP, OSPF, Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN Controllers, and WAPs is required. Experience implementing network technologies to support organizational technology projects and understanding of enterprise-level network and integrations of an on-premise environment and cloud environments is also necessary.
The successful candidate will be required to work and be located full-time on site at SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Travel to support offices across the province will be required. The Resource will be required to be on call on a rotational basis in 1-week intervals.
Contract Duration: The Contract will be effective for an initial term commencing on the date of award and ending on March 31, 2024. The Contract will automatically renew for successive one (1) year terms, a maximum of four (4) times.
