Job Title: Marble Setter

We are seeking a skilled Marble Setter to join our team at Emperor Stone Imports and Trades Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with marble, as well as mixing, applying, and spreading mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for marble installation
  • Mix and apply adhesives
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Supervise other workers
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Large workload
  • Overtime required
Work Environment:
