Job Overview

As a Loss Control Specialist at Verisk, you will play a critical role in helping insurance companies reduce the frequency and severity of losses. Your expertise will be essential in assessing residential and commercial properties to identify potential risks and provide recommendations for loss prevention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough property inspections to identify potential risks and hazards.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed reports of your findings.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their property history and risk factors.
  • Provide expert recommendations for loss prevention and mitigation strategies.
  • Travel extensively within a region, requiring a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Accountabilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of assessment results.
  • Contribute to the company's overall revenue goals.
  • Continuously expand your expertise to assess more complex properties.
Requirements
  • Education in insurance, construction, or engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with building codes, fire services, and construction maintenance is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills are essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously and travel extensively.
