We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at CuppaJoe Coffee Roasters. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our coffee shop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high-quality standards
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient service
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates, monitoring expenses and identifying areas for improvement
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing exceptional customer service
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth
  • Prepare and submit reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
  • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys, ensuring timely and efficient service
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels and minimizing overtime
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
  • Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
  • Dependability, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering results
