We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Treaty and Language Culture Specialist at the Tribal Chiefs Education Foundation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement language and culture programs to promote the preservation and revitalization of Treaty languages.
- Collaborate with Tribal Chiefs and community members to identify language and culture needs and develop strategies to address them.
- Provide language and culture training and support to Tribal Chiefs and community members.
- Develop and maintain relationships with language and culture stakeholders to promote the work of the Tribal Chiefs Education Foundation.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to language and culture.
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as linguistics, education, or cultural studies.
- Fluency in a Treaty language and experience working with Indigenous communities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of language and culture preservation and revitalization strategies.
