Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Consultant to join our Business Consulting team at Infosys Limited. As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for leading complex consulting assignments and business development efforts in the mining and manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Consulting and Advisory Services: Focus on improving core mining and manufacturing processes through process analysis, redesign, and the application of Lean principles.
  2. Leadership and Business Development: Lead Infosys business consulting assignments and business development efforts, ensuring timely and budget-friendly execution.
  3. Project Management: Execute and manage business consulting projects with varying levels of complexity, setting up detailed project plans and executing work towards key milestones.
  4. Business Function Development: Develop detailed project plans inclusive of production planning & scheduling, production control, quality control, inventory control, logistics, and material flows to effectively manage industrial and distribution process improvement.
  5. Digital Solutions: Leverage digital technologies to craft solutions and build analytical models for deployment, production, and operations of mining and manufacturing projects.
  6. Client Engagement: Develop and implement metrics to ensure fulfillment of client objectives and expectations, conferring with clients and staff members to ensure efficient production methods and considering different alternatives, expected outcomes, and implementation strategies.
  7. Process Improvement Strategy: Communicate process improvement strategy within client organizations, engaging leadership in defining the business case, synthesizing feedback, and developing a tailored strategy.
  8. Client Discussions: Lead client discussions regarding the design and implementation of digital solutions.
  9. Industry Events: Participate in industry events and contribute to brand building.
  10. Team Collaboration: Work across multiple levels and multicultural teams.
  11. Client Communication: Maintain highly effective communication with client senior management.
  12. Sales Process: Respond to RFX from clients and prospects and manage the sales process.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required.
  2. At least 10 years of industry work experience with 5 years of experience in comparable consulting services.
  3. At least 5 years of experience in conducting mining operations or planning or mining project development.
  4. OR
  5. At least 5 years of experience in crafting and building digital solutions for mining operations, automation, digital twin, or manufacturing practices.
  6. OR
  7. At least 3 years of experience in Metals, Mining, or Manufacturing value chain (exploration, appraisal, development, monitoring, and commercialization), including the implications of the energy transition.
  8. Two to seven years of experience in leading engagements in mining, energy, or natural resources focused consulting role or a strategic project management/advisor role within the Metals, Mining, Natural Resources, or Manufacturing industry.
  9. Familiarity with energy markets and underlying fundamentals, regulations, and policies; specific experience and/or knowledge of specific segments of the mining, metal, or manufacturing industry preferred.
  10. Understanding of conventional shaft mining used for Potash mining or other mining methods, including open-pit, underground, and surface mining.
  11. Ability to travel 4 days a week to multiple local, state, and national client locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in Potash or Muriate of Potash (MOP) mining in the North American region.
  2. Experience in mine planning and scheduling, including the use of software tools such as MineSight, Surpac, or Vulcan.
  3. Experience as an end user or programmer of production monitoring and control systems, such as SCADA, DCS, and MES.
  4. Understanding of mining automation technologies, such as autonomous haulage systems, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
  5. Experience in mine closure and reclamation planning and execution.
  6. Knowledge of the mining supply chain, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  7. Familiarity with mining finance and accounting practices, including cost estimation, budgeting, and financial modeling.
  8. Awareness and understanding of mining operations and methods in various regions around the globe.
  9. Ability to interact at all levels of clients' organizations.
  10. Proven track record in program/project management.
  11. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build strong relationships with clients.
