Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Material Handler to assist in the efficient movement and storage of goods in our distribution center. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
- Order Fulfillment: Ship orders and pick orders and stock.
- Inventory Management: Weigh materials and goods, make labels, and attach to goods.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for our clients.
- Warehouse Organization: Organize and maintain inventory, and use computerized inventory control systems.
The Material Handler will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a large workload. The ideal candidate will be able to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and maintain attention to detail.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train.
- Work Setting: Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution center.
- Supervision: 3-4 people.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, tight deadlines, physically demanding, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Adaptability, creativity, efficiency, energetic, hardworking, positive attitude, proactive, time management, reliability, team player, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, organized, flexibility.
