Veterinary Technologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our team at the Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre.
About the Role:This is a part-time position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
Responsibilities:- Perform a variety of clinical procedures, including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, in-house lab work, anesthesia/sedation monitoring, patient assessment, and emergency triage.
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians and other veterinary staff to provide high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with pet owners and provide exceptional customer service.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance technical skills and expertise.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) or eligible to register.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm under pressure.
