We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer Manager to lead our software development team at Software Defined Automation GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our software applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to the software development team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality software applications.
  • Software Development: Lead the development of new software applications and features, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their careers.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or defects that arise.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including product management, design, and QA, to ensure that software applications meet business requirements and are delivered on time.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience in software development, with a strong background in leading technical teams and managing software development projects.
  • Skills: Expertise in software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, with a strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Developer or Certified Scrum Master, are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree: Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • People management experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in people management, with a strong track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Full-stack development experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience in full-stack development, with a strong background in both front-end and back-end development.
Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship: Must be a US citizen, as this role requires a security clearance.
  • Security clearance: Must be able to obtain a security clearance, with a minimum of Secret clearance.
