About the Role

The Cook Staff at Pizza Delight is responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards. This includes performing tasks similar to those of dishwashers and kitchen helpers. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Apply WHMIS guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Prepare and cook food to meet quality and taste standards.
  • Unpack and store stock in refrigerators and storage areas.
  • Store products and preparations according to their conservation period.
  • Meet preparation time standards and maintain consistency in food quality.
  • Identify and prepare various Pizza Delight menu items.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

This role requires minimal experience, but a certain level of manual dexterity and physical stamina is necessary. The ability to work as part of a team and maintain a fast pace is essential. Attention to detail and the ability to quickly understand facts are also required.

Working Conditions

Work hours are generally pre-scheduled, with occasional overtime. The schedule may vary, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Part-time work is possible, and the schedule may include split shifts. The work environment is noisy, and there can be pressure to maintain the work pace. There is a risk of cuts, scrapes, and burns.
