Position Overview

The Procurement Specialist at United Enterprize CHWK Ltd. plays a crucial role in managing the acquisition of essential goods and services necessary for the organization's operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Purchasing Duties: Responsible for procuring both general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services.
  • Needs Assessment: Evaluate the requirements of the organization to create detailed specifications for the items to be acquired.
  • Specification Development: Formulate precise specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies required for procurement.
  • Supplier Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Supplier Consultation: Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
  • Staff Management: Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of procurement staff.
  • Quotation Review: Analyze and assess supplier quotations to determine the best options.
  • Contract Management: Define contract terms and conditions, and award contracts to selected suppliers.
  • Delivery Coordination: Establish and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods.
  • Issue Resolution: Liaise with clients and suppliers to address and resolve any procurement-related issues.
  • Logistics Oversight: Plan and manage the operational logistics within the organization.
Qualifications
  • Certifications: Membership in the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada and a provincial purchasing management association.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a relevant field.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Working Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
