About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Technologist to join our team at MPE Engineering Ltd. in Grande Prairie. As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects, collaborating with clients and contractors to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or Technologist.
  • Develop, prepare, and review civil engineering design drawings, coordinating with the engineering Design Team.
  • Conduct site inspections and materials testing as required.
  • Manage construction contracts and liaise with clients and contractors.
  • Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Member or eligibility for membership in ASET.
  • 3-5 years of municipal civil engineering experience, including water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, stormwater management systems, site grading, and transportation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general construction methods.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency with Civil3D software.
