Job Title: CAD Technologist

GeoVerra is seeking a skilled CAD Technologist to join our Production team in Alberta. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining legal survey plans, municipal plans, civil plans, and photo mosaics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and maintain accurate and detailed CAD drawings
  • Record and analyze spatial and three-dimensional data used in land development
  • Ensure assignment requirements are understood and allocate time appropriately to complete tasks according to project deadlines
  • Self-check assignments prior to final approval
  • Adhere to current CAD standards and provide feedback as required
  • Assist in the development of CAD standards and procedures
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Engineering Design & Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline
  • 5+ years' experience drafting Survey plans
  • Member in good standing or eligible for registration with local Survey or Technologist Association
  • Proficient in Windows, MS Office, latest versions of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Coordinate Geometry software
  • Knowledge of civil engineering design components, alignments, grading, volumes, and site construction works
  • Knowledge of legal plan requirements and the use of Land Title and Survey Authority website
