Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator at Atlantic Roll Forming. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our distribution center.
Key Responsibilities- Determine method of shipment: Collaborate with internal teams to determine the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods for our products.
- Schedule distribution of goods: Plan and coordinate the distribution of goods to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents: Accurately prepare and process shipping documents to ensure timely and secure delivery of goods.
- Assemble containers and crates: Ensure that all containers and crates are properly assembled and prepared for shipping.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain internal record-keeping system: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, inventory, and other relevant data.
- Record shortages and reject damaged goods: Identify and document any shortages or damaged goods, and take corrective action as needed.
- Route goods to appropriate storage areas: Ensure that all goods are properly stored and organized in our distribution center.
- Pack goods to be shipped: Pack goods in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage during transit.
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods: Supervise the loading and unloading of goods to ensure safe and efficient handling.
- Supervise material handlers and helpers: Provide guidance and support to material handlers and helpers to ensure they are performing their duties safely and efficiently.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
- Green job: This role involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
- Duration of employment: Permanent.
- Language of work: English.
- Hours of work: 40 hours per week.
