Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our Data and Analytics Governance team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing governance objectives to support our Capital Markets business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement governance objectives to support Capital Markets data and analytics initiatives
  • Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and classify data assets, establish data flow and lineage, and implement data quality and efficiency initiatives
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices and procedures
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk management frameworks to ensure effective data governance
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of relevant business experience in Finance, Operations, or Capital Markets
  • Sound knowledge of change management and business process transformation
  • In-depth knowledge of Finance, Operations, and Capital Markets data sets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to exercise judgment and make data-driven decisions
  • Proven ability to influence at various levels and collaborate with cross-functional teams
